Such a flavorful panini! My friends and I needed a quick pick me up and this was the perfect spot :) The server recommended the Chicken Burrata for my low spice tolerance and it was such a great choice. If you can handle spice, I suggest the Chicken Firecracker!
Decided to visit after seeing online. Went on a random Wednesday evening with a couple of friends. We were greeted by a nice young man who stated that it is his families business. The menu was a bit difficult to order on as everything is quite a small font with the description underneath. Nevertheless, we ordered 3 sandwiches with fries and onion rings. The sandwich's were delicious, however, had an overwhelming amount of flavor; it takes away from the sandwich. The onion rings and fries were phenomenal with just the right amount of crunch. Paired with their firecracker sauce and garlic aioli, and plated in a family tray, it was the kicker for 4 stars. Parking wasn't terrible as it is in a shopping center but the restaurant is fairly small with an immense decor style on the inside. it could definitely be less (funny considering their niche is international sandwich's) All in all it's definitely worth 4 stars and worth the try!
Tasty and fresh! The place is small and cozy, the service is amazing, very friendly. Surely we will come again.
With so many sandwich places in a one mile radius this one is for sure worth checking out. Lots of parking, cute little indoor and outdoor seating areas and friendly staff. I ordered the chicken burrata sandwich and a coke. The sandwich had great flavor and was filling, but was it worth $15??? Yes and no. The flavors were on point and I wasn't left hungry, however the tomato the used was simply unacceptable for a $15 sandwich. This is why I have given 4 stars instead of 5. See pic for reference. Overall a great place, and I'll be back to try other menu items. Fingers crossed for better produce next time.
These 5 star reviews are real. Uncle AF is the real deal. Absolutely incredible food and service every time. Thanks Uncle.
Tasty food, fun concept with all the panini variants and else even got a special house iced tea refill. You can tell when people care about their business! Way to make a customer feel welcomed. Five stars for the effort and execution!
SO GOOD! One of my favorite sandwich shop! The people that works there was so friendly and so attentive. Excellent customer service!! My fiancé and I got both got the chicken firecracker sandwiches, it was crispy and crunchy with the bread. They definitely give you a nice size piece of chicken which we love! Sandwiches were a great size portion as well. I had left overs but I finished that later on that day. Too bad Uncle Af's isn't in other cities. The onion rings and fries were fresh and wasn't too oily and it still has a nice crispy to it. Listen sandwich eaters out there! It's a must try you will fall in love with it! We of course will be back! It's small shop to make sure you come early or else there will be a line. The ambiance of the place is just like any other sandwiches shop. There isn't much seating so come early if you want to sit and eat there.
One of my all time favorite things to do when traveling is to try restaurants of the local variety. Chain restaurants I can get at home. So when my wife and I were on our way to visit our daughter in Agoura Hills and some time to kill, we decided to find a local sandwich shop for an early lunch. Uncle Af's has A LOT of great reviews, so we figured let's give them a shot...after all, if there's one thing I know, it's a good sandwich. As soon as we walked in, we were instantly greeted by a very friendly woman, presumably the owner or owner's wife. The whole ambience was casual, comfortable, and upbeat friendly with positive vibes all around. Being our first time there, she was more than happy to go over the menu with us, and with so many delicious looking choices it really did take me some time to narrow down what I would try. My wife chose the Spicy Chicken Burrata. We would have split this, it certainly was large enough, but sometimes "spicey" doesn't settle so well with me, and being on the road...I wasn't about to take any chances. So I opted for the Vegetarian Sandwich. Now I'm not a vegetarian by any means (I always feel I should point that out if I'm ordering vegetarian or even a vegan meal), but I do enjoy the culinary delight of a veggie meal every so often. Personally, I think if one can make a great tasting veggie sandwich (where you don't even miss the meat), then they are probably an outstanding sandwich maker. Well, I have to say, she is an outstanding sandwich maker! Truly a great veggie sandwich it was. It too was easily large enough for two people, but I couldn't help myself and went ahead and finished it off anyways. My wife ate only half of her sandwich (like I said, they're big), so I got to enjoy the other half later. It too was amazing, and it was not too spicy (not to where it would have been a problem for me at least). We also split a large order of fries, which was honestly too much food, but good nonetheless. What made the fries especially good was their ranch dressing...I'm not sure if it was home made or some artisan brand, but it was so much better than most ranch dressings I've had (aside from my grandmother-in-law, who was famous for her homemade buttermilk ranch). So yeah, Uncle Af's is good AF.
This little storefront was steadily busy at lunchtime. Is never noticed it before...but I will plan to visit again! We were grateful for tables outside. I had a simple chicken salad beautifully presented and tastefully assembled. Ingredients were fresh and the chicken portion was generous... seasoned well.
From the moment I walked into Uncle Af's I knew I was in for a treat. The owner, a maestro of the sandwich arts, personally guided me through the menu for my first visit. His recommendation? The Chicken Firecracker - and what a recommendation it was! The sandwich strikes the perfect balance between spicy and palatable, ensuring each bite is an explosion of flavor without the aftermath of fire. The chicken was nothing short of perfection, plump and juicy, complemented by the generous portions that promise you won't leave hungry. Let's talk sides: the fries are a masterpiece, achieving that sought-after crispy exterior with a soft, pillowy interior, all while being impeccably seasoned. It's a symphony of textures and tastes that harmonizes beautifully with the main act. The owner's presence was the cherry on top. His accommodating service made my first visit feel like a regular's experience, ensuring every detail was catered to with a personal touch. And to wash it all down, the tea was simply delicious - a refreshing endnote to a meal that hit all the right notes. In summary, Uncle Af's delivers a standout dining experience that resonates with genuine care, quality food, and masterful flavors. A well-deserved 10/10!
